Register Your Defibrillator Today on The Circuit
What is The Circuit? TheCircuit.uk is the UK’s National Defibrillator Network, designed to map defibrillators across the country and connect them directly to ambulance services.
The Circuit’s mission is simple but vital: to locate and register the estimated 150,000 defibrillators in the UK. This helps ambulance services guide bystanders to the nearest defibrillator during emergencies, dramatically increasing survival rates.
Why Register Your Defibrillator?
Every year, more than 30,000 people in the UK experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). Tragically, less than 1 in 10 survive. Early defibrillation and CPR can more than double a person’s chances of survival. However, an estimated 70% of defibrillators remain unknown to ambulance services, making them less likely to be used when they’re needed most.
By registering your defibrillator on TheCircuit.uk, you’ll ensure it is visible to every ambulance service across the UK. This critical step means bystanders can access life- saving equipment faster in an emergency.
Who Runs The Circuit?
The Circuit is led by the British Heart Foundation, working with Association of Ambulance Chief Executives, Resuscitation Council UK & St John Ambulance. Take Action Today At DefibSpace, we strongly encourage you to register your defibrillator on The Circuit.
Together, we can save more lives and give cardiac arrest victims the best chance of survival.
Your quick action today could help save a life tomorrow.
