The Firechief Stove Guard is an innovative safety device specifically designed for domestic kitchens with electric cookers. This new and improved system actively prevents fires by monitoring the temperature of your cooker hob and cutting power when the temperature exceeds safe levels. A slimline heat sensor monitors the cooker temperature from above, while the Stove Guard control unit communicates wirelessly with the sensor, automatically shutting off power to the cooker to prevent fires before they start.

Key Features:

  • Ideal for a variety of kitchen settings including homes for the elderly, people with special needs and student accommodation
  • Promotes independent living and improved kitchen safety – designed to act before a fire even starts
  • Power: 230-400V (Control Unit) and CR2032 Battery (Heat Sensor)
  • Warranty: 2 year warranty
  • The Stove Guard bundle includes:
  • Heat Sensor with replaceable CR2032 Battery (approx. 10 year battery life) – attaches to the wall, ceiling or cooker hood
  • Mains Powered Control Unit & Junction Box – installed behind the cooker and connects wirelessly to the heat sensor
  • Fulfils requirements of Stove Guard Standard EN 50615
  • Features of the Intelligent Heat Sensor:
  • Provides 24/7 monitoring and learns the user's cooking styles to reduce false alarms
  • Measures excessive temperatures, rate of temperature change and ambient temperature to accurately predict danger
  • Monitors cooker top overheating and detects abnormal changes in temperature
  • Wirelessly talks to the control unit and cuts off the electricity supply to the cooker when a hazard is detected
  • Removing the sensor from the installation plate sounds an alarm and cuts power to the cooker to avoid vandalism
  • Automatic fault diagnoses analyses the sensor, control unit and wireless link – turns the cooker off if a fault is detected
  • Fault beeps vary to indicate which type of fault has been detected
  • Cost-effective and safer solution to domestic hob fire suppression systems

Please note: The Stove Guard is suitable for electric cookers only. The Control Unit needs to be connected to the cooker and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
