Heartsine Paediatric Pad-Pak
HeartSine Paediatric PAD-Pak™ – All-in-One Battery & Electrode Solution for Children
The HeartSine Paediatric PAD-Pak™ is specially designed for use with HeartSine Samaritan® AEDs, providing life-saving treatment for children aged 1 to 8 years old or weighing less than 25 kg (55 lbs). This unique all-in-one cartridge combines both the battery and electrode pads, ensuring a simple, streamlined replacement process with only one expiration date to monitor.
When the paediatric PAD-Pak is inserted into the AED, the device automatically adjusts the energy output to 50 Joules, delivering a safe and appropriate shock tailored for young patients. The electrode placement, clearly illustrated on the pad packaging, requires positioning on both the front and back of the child to ensure effective defibrillation.
